Virat Kohli Announce To Step Down As T20 Captain After T20 World Cup

For the fans of the cricket and kohli, it is a very sad news. T20 world cup will start in this year October in Arab Emirates. Regardless of results of this mega event Kohli has decided to withdraw from the leadership of short format. But he will continue his service for Indian team as his ability.

He said in his message on the social networking site Twitter. Virat said he is resigning just from T20 format. As well as leading the Test and ODI team, he will also be available as a player in the T20.

The star batsman in the top ten in the rankings of all three ICC formats wrote. “I am very lucky to have played not only for India. Also he led the Indian team to the best of his ability and I thank all those who supported me during this time.

“I have been playing continuously for the last 9-8 years and leading the Indian team in all three formats for the last 6-5 years,” said Virat Kohli. But I feel I need to reduce the burden of my responsibility. So that I am fully prepared to lead the team in ODIs and Tests.

“As the T20 captain, I have given my all to the Indian team and as a batsman I will continue to do so,” Kohli said.

“I have decided in consultation with my close ones, including my coach Ravi Shastri and vice-captain Rohit Sharma, that I will not play as captain after the T20 World Cup,” said Virat Kohli.
