As new released ranking by ICC, Pakistan captain Babar Azam replaced Rohit Sharma in the ODI rankings. Now ahead of him is India’s leader Virat Kohli. Babar was promoted by Rohit himself, who suffered a relegation due to a disappointing batting performance in the first match against England.
The Pakistani star has at 2nd position with 837 points. Kohli holds the top position with 868 rating points. It should noted that Babar Azam has the third position in T20.
English cricketer Johnny Beer Stowe, who scored 94 in the first ODI, rose four places to a career-best seventh position. Indian opener Shekhar Dhawan moved up two places to 15th position thanks to a winning innings of 98 runs, while New Zealand’s top Latham, who scored a century in the second match against Bangladesh, moved up five places to 30th position.
Pakistan’s Emad Wasim is fifth in the all-rounders. The top position in the bowlers held by Kiwi Trent Bolt. Interestingly, Mohammad Aamir, who retired from international cricket, is still at number nine in the bowlers’ rankings.
