A Sri Lankan cricketer Shehan Madushanka arrested for drug possession of heroin. The accused presented into the court. He has handed over to the police for a 14-day remand officials said Monday.
According to ciricinfo reports the Sri Lankan cricket board arrested the young bowler three days ago. Police say Sheehan Madushnaka car allegedly contained heroin. Police founded over two grams heroin in his car on Saturday May 24. He has detained by Penala police in the northeastern city of Negombo.
Police said the fast bowler was presented in-front of magistrate before arrest. Police said the fast bowler will be kept in custody till hearing in the High Court.
A statement from the Sri Lanka Cricket Board said Sheehan would remain suspended until the board fully investigates the matter. He could not participate any forms of cricket during this period.

Sheehan, a 25-year-old fast bowler who started his cricket career against Bangladesh on January 27, 2018. He has represented Sri Lanka team in one ODI and two T20 matches. He has taken only two wickets in two T20 matches.
Madushanka, who took a hat-trick of wickets on his international debut facing alleged act. Sheehan performed well in his first match against Bangladesh, taking 3 for 26. Sri Lankan team defended 221 runs and defeated Bangladesh by 79 runs.
Sheehan was away from cricket for a year and a half due to injury. However, he was busy with Sri Lanka’s domestic season before the suspension of sports activities due to Code-19.
Under Sri Lankan law, Sheehan could face severe punishment if convicted. The young fast bowler had never before committed such a serious breach of the code of conduct.
According to the report, Sri Lankan shehan madushanka was unlikely to be included in the national team’s training, which began in June.
