Indian team is in Australia now for playing ODI, T20 and test series. They have to compete for three T20, three ODI and four test matches. Series will start from Friday November 27 with one day match. After they will play scheduled T20 three matches series while in the last four test matches will be played. But it bad news for Indian fans that Rohit and Ishant out of first two tests.

Opener Rohit Sharma and pacer Ishant Sharma have ruled out of the first two Tests against Australia. And it is doubtful that they will play in the remaining two Tests of the four match series. Rohit is recovering from a hamstring injury and Ishant is suffering from muscle strain. Both suffered injuries during the IPL in the UAE. Ishant Sharma had returned to the country after leaving in middle of the IPL. While Rohit Sharma has returned home after making his team Mumbai Indians the IPL champions for the fifth time. Both were undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

Team India head coach Ravi Shastri had recently said that if both the players are to take part in the Test series starting December 17. So they have to reach Australia by November 26. Just a few days after Shastri’s statement. It was reported that Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma have been ruled out of the first two Tests. His participation in the remaining two Tests will depend on the immediate action of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

It will take some more time for Rohit Sharma, who struggled with a hamstring injury during the IPL, to regain full fitness. They can only get travel approval in the second week of December and will need a two-week separation, after which a final assessment will be made. According to a BCCI official, Rohit Sharma had the best chance of joining the Test series. If only he could fly straight from Abu Dhabi to Australia with the rest of the team.
