In the 26th match of the league played in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Batting first, Islamabad United scored the highest total of 247 runs in the history of PSL thanks to a century by Usman Khawaja in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Peshawar Zalmi scored 232 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Hazratullah Zazai from Peshawar Zalmai returned to the pavilion without opening an account on the first ball. After which Imam-ul-Haq also scored only 7 runs. However, Kamran Akmal batted aggressively and scored a half-century. He dismissed for 53 off 32 balls.
Shoaib Malik scored a half-century. He was dismissed for an aggressive innings of 68 off 36 balls. Which included 3 sixes and 6 fours. Roman Powell scored 14 runs. While Sherfan Rutherford returned to the pavilion after playing an aggressive innings of 29 off 8 balls.
Ameed Asif remained unbeaten on 20 and Wahab Riaz on 28. Aqif Javed took 3 wickets, Hussain Talat 2 wickets and Hassan Ali 1 wicket for Islamabad.

Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz won the toss and elected to field first. Usman Khawaja and Colin Monroe from Islamabad United gave the team an aggressive start of 98 runs. Monroe dismissed for 47 runs.
Asif Ali also played an aggressive style of 43 runs off 14 balls. Which included 5 sixes and 2 fours. While Usman Khawaja scored his first century in PSL, he remained unbeaten on 105 off 56 balls. Brendon King scored 46 off 22 balls. Islamabad United score 247 runs with loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs.
Samin Gul and Shoaib Malik took one wicket each for Peshawar Zalmai.
