Misbah Ul-Haq has resigned from the post of chief selector. He will officially announce this in a press conference today. Sources said that Misbah-ul-Haq was under severe pressure due to poor performance of the national team in the tour of England. And that is why he has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of his decision. Misbah-ul-Haq will continue to work as the head coach of the Pakistan National cricket team.

Former Pakistani team captain Misbah-ul-Haq was given the responsibilities of head coach and chief selector on September 4, 2019. But he faced severe criticism over the team’s performance. Shoaib Akhtar himself had confirmed that talks are underway with. PCB management for the post of chief selector but nothing has been decided yet.
