According to the Hindustan Times, Secretary to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) J Shah informed the High Council of the government’s decision.

According to reports, visas will also issued to Pakistani journalists for the World Cup. However, there are no reports of Pakistani fans so far.

A member of the High Council told to PTI. That the issue of issuing visas to the Pakistan cricket team has been resolved. However, it is not yet clear whether visas will issued or not to Pakistani cricket fans.

“The secretary announced at the meeting that the decision would be taken later,” he said. However, we promised the ICC that the matter would be resolved.

Following the decision of the Indian government. The Pakistan cricket team led by Babar Azam will have no difficulty in traveling to India to participate in the ICC T20 World Cup in October. Because government set to grant visas to the players from the neighbors.

It may recalled that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani had written a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) last month expressing reservations over the issue of visas.

The letter said that if the Indian Cricket Board does not create visa facilitation for the Pakistani team, media and fans. And if the written assurance is not given, the tournament will betransferred to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
