A statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board said. That the England cricket team has confirmed the tour of Pakistan for the first time in 16 years. The English team will visit Pakistan for a series of two T20 matches next year. It is a big news for cricket fans that England Announce Tour of Pakistan After 16 years.

England Announce Tour of Pakistan After 16 years

The England cricket team will play two T20 matches in Pakistan next year. Which will be played on October 14 and 15 in Karachi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board last week invited England for a short tour of Pakistan in January 2021. The England and Wales Cricket Board had confirmed the tour of Pakistan on Tuesday evening. However, the visiting team will make the tour in October.

Due to the busy schedule of its star players in January, the England and Wales Cricket Board responded to the invitation by proposing a tour in October before next year’s T20 World Cup. Which has accepted by the PCB.

The English cricket team will arrive in Karachi on October 12. And at the end of the tour, both the teams will leave for India together on October 16 to participate in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The English cricket team had last visited Pakistan in 2005 and played 3 Tests and 5 ODIs during the tour.

Wasim Khan, chief executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board, said he was happy to see England confirm the tour. This will be the first tour of the England cricket team to Pakistan in 16 years. It will also help in hosting the White and Red Ball cricket series between the two countries in 2023-22.

He said Pakistan would host England’s full squad after their home series against New Zealand. In the meantime, we look forward to hosting Australia. Which is part of the Future Tour program for the season 22-2021. Then England cricket team will visit Pakistan again in the season 23-2022 to play red and white ball cricket.
